CCAA og SARS

I wanted to let everyone know who has been asking about CCAA that they are

working, but with a very small staff. A lot of their staff comes to work on

public transportation and they cannot get there since it is all shut down. The

main people get there in a private van, so they have been at work this week.

One incredible man has to sign off on all the referrals. He is working on that

right now, so they will be coming soon. Please don't ask me when or what

months......I don't know that, but he is working hard on signing off on the

latest batch.

The post on APC about an agency only allowing adoption from Guangdong province

was really surprising to me, because if the provincial and national officials

had a say in your travel, they would all prefer that you fly into Shanghai.

Yes, you will have your temperature taken when you land in China, and yes you

will be quarantined if it is over 100.4. And if you fly into Beijing or

Guangzhou and then have to do in-country travel, the province you fly into

might ask you to quarantine yourself for a few days. CCAA still maintains

that China is not imposing travel restrictions......if you want to come get

your child, it is up to you. I would appreciate it if people could let me

know which provinces are giving them trouble so I could pass that along to

them.

Your travel letter is still only good for three months. It is my sincere hope

that CCAA will put up their official opinions on adoption and SARS on their

website soon.

That is all I can remember right now. Please just know that the referrals are

in the process of being signed. Things ARE moving along, even if it is a bit

slower than normal!
