På Atelier Blått Blikk på Dikemark i Asker åpner det en utstilling med en kinesisk kunstner etter påske. Jeg har klippet inn teksten fra invitasjonen:

Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy

Florence is an artist and a tutor of Chinese arts. She studied Chinese paintings and literature from the renowned Chinese University of Hong Kong and fine art from the University of Iowa in the United States where is graduated with Master of Fine Art.

Chinese Painting can be regarded as Painting in poetry and poetry in painting. Subject matter is often plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo and chrysanthemums, also known as the four gentlemen as they embody personal virtues.

Chinese Calligraphy is regarded as the most abstract and sublime form of art in Chinese culture. To the Chinese artists, calligraphy is a mental exercise that coordinates the mind and the body to achieve the expression of beauty.

Also during exhibition Florence will display, demonstrate and, if requested teach origami, the art of paper folding.

Så synd at jeg bor så langt unna Oslo. Den utstillingen ville jeg absolutt hatt med meg.
