Nå fant jeg noe i en elevmappe. Jeg vet ikke hvor dette er rappet hen:

A reporter once interviewed a number of people in the big cities in Norway and asked them what they thought foreigners thought were the lamest thing about Norwegian behaviour in general, and most of them answered ”the jante behaviour”. ”Jante-loven” or ”The law of Jante” is a Norwegian poem:

1. Thou shalt not presume that thou art anyone [important].

2 Thou shalt not presume that thou art as good as us.

3.Thou shalt not presume that thou art any wiser than us.

4. Thou shalt never indulge in the conceit of imagining that thou art better than us.

5. Thou shalt not presume that thou art more knowledgeable than us.

6. Thou shalt not presume that thou art more than us [in any way].

7. Thou shalt not presume that that thou art going to amount to anything.

8. Thou art not entitled to laugh at us.

9. Thou shalt never imagine that anyone cares about thee.

10. Thou shalt not suppose that thou can teach us anything

This is a very normal way for foreigners to see Norwegians. So for some people this filosophy rules in Norway.

Jante er dansk og betyr i hvert fall "verdiløs" eller "ingenting".

Vi og våre egne tråkker andre ned for å komme øverst.

Du skriver: "Vi og våre egne tråkker andre ned for å komme øverst."

Nettopp. Det du skriver om muslimer, for eksempel.

Hey. I am doing a thesis on that phenomenon, and here in the US we call it the Jantelaw, or Law of Jante, but we do not no have that phenomenon here which is why I chose to do my thesis on it
