efedrin mixtur

hi there,

i am a foreigner living in norway.

my children have a cough and have been prescribed 2ml x 4 times a day of efedrin mixtur.

is this product safe? it smells and tastes like 40 % alcohol. is this a normal product for a cough?

Hi!

Efedrin is often prescribed for children. I think it works really well, and it has a good taste so it's easy to give the children. I've heard that some children becomes very awake of it, but none of mine gets this effect.
