Urgent help needed

Dear Doctor,

I am Brazilian, 40 years old, living in Oslo the last two months.

I started feeling some itiching in my upper body , as if I was being stiched with very thin needles which left a burning sensation afterwards.

It was very annoying feling and I got very afraid and nervous at the middle of the night. By the way, it started on Sunday night when I went to bed and came back yesterday night again, more intensely. Now, during the day I feel it only a little.

But I want to take measures for tonight, so I don't feel that bad again. Would you recommend some allergy pills? Do I have to go to the doctor before the night comes?

Please, help me a bit. I feel afraid. I live he in Oslo only with my husband (Norwegian) and my 2 year old daughter.

Hello Rosaly.

I'm no doctor but I wouldn't take allergypills if there is no diagnose of allergy... Why don't you go to a doctor today to solve the problem, instead of waiting for the night in agony, or take pills that may make things worse? It could take long before you got an answer here.

The symptoms you have mentioned may be some kind of an allergic reaktion. If your generell condition is ok, and there is no fever or sign of an infection, I think you should try an allergy tablet in the first place.

If the symptoms increase- go visit a doctor!
